Description of Opportunity

Pro-Active Performance, a US-based training and development service provider to luxury automotive brands, seeks a qualified Sales/ Account Development candidate to help us grow our business.  The successful candidate will work directly with our head of Account Development, program directors and others on our client teams, and will perform sales duties such as introducing themselves to potential clients, presenting Pro-Active’s capabilities, following up with ideas/applications for Pro-Active services, and ultimately helping us to earn projects or RFPs with prospective clients.  
The ideal candidate has prior sales experience; understands the premium automotive OEM industry; is highly organized; and can keep the big picture in view while managing multiple priorities, attending to details and ensuring follow through on tasks. Strong candidates will bring prior experience in sales (in automotive; OR in marketing, digital, print/video/production services, or related creative businesses). Existing contacts/relationships within automotive OEMs would be a plus.
This position starts as a part-time, contract position; current contract outline is estimated at about 20 hours/ week, with a three-month starting engagement.  For the right candidate, this three-month gig can lead to a full-time role.

Purpose

Grow revenue within existing client accounts; identify project opportunities and grow revenue within new/prospective client accounts. Deliver results (as measured in Revenue and Gross Profit dollars) in four key areas:
• New Account/Project Development (New projects sold to new accounts)
• Account Development: Expansion within existing accounts (new projects sold to current accounts)
• Account Satisfaction: Ensuring sold projects achieve maximum client satisfaction, as measured by account/project retention
• Internal Team Synergy – Working productively and collaboratively with internal team members and Senior Leadership

Functional Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with current clients to strengthen business relationships
• Conduct regular, systematic prospecting activities with prospective clients within both current and new client organizations
• Identify project opportunities; write statements of work and develop budgets accordingly
• Generate response opportunities to Requests for Proposal (RFP’s); and develop Pro-Active responses
• Conduct effective initial client meetings and Pro-Active capabilities presentations
• Advance the sales process for identified business opportunities
• Understand the tenets, terminology and tools of The New Strategic Selling
• Report client/prospect contacts and communications using defined Pro-Active systems/platforms
• Support the Sales Forecasting process
• Transition sold projects into the program development/production/delivery process, ensuring client satisfaction with Pro-Active project team

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years sales experience
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams
• Ability to work and solve problems independently
• Strong skills in planning, scheduling and task management
• Superior attention to detail and task follow-through
• Automotive and/or training industry experience a plus
